Records
  • 03-Aug-13: Amit Mishra's tally of 18 wickets at an average of 11.61 is a world record for most wickets in five ODIs in a bilateral series. He has emulated Javagal Srinath's tally of 18 (ave.11.16) in seven games against New Zealand in 2002-03. His series aggregate is a record by a spinner in a bilateral series in ODIs, obliterating Ajantha Mendis's 15 (ave.8.60) in five ODIs against Zimbabwe in 2008-09.
  • Amit Mishra, with his five-wicket haul (5/71) against Australia during the Mohali Test, has become the sixth Indian bowler to claim five wickets in debut innings. Mishra has thus joined Mohammad Nissar, Vaman Kumar, Abid Ali, Dilip Doshi and Narendra Hirwani, who all bagged five wickets or more in their debut innings for India.
